OUR PLANS.

We think Ancoats Works can become an amazing place to live – a neighbourhood made up of high-quality new homes, incorporating and reflecting the historic architecture synonymous with the area.

Our plans include 193 homes, including a mix of 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments, most with a view of the neighbouring canal, and 10 townhouses fronting onto Carruthers Street.

There’ll also be residents’ gardens and space for a new business, such as a corner store or café bar.

A COMMUNITY
WITH CHARACTER.

Ancoats Works will be brimming with character.

We’ve designed the community carefully to fit in with its surroundings, with two, red-brick apartment buildings mirroring the shape and material of the historic Hope Mill next door.

They’ve been designed specifically to make sure they respect the Grade II listed mill. The position of the buildings reflect a mill that once stood on the site.

THE DESIGN.

The design includes keeping the majority of the existing frontage on Pollard Street, with some of the old parts of the existing warehouse restored as new homes and steelwork from the building retained as a striking feature in the garden.

The corner store will be an asset for the community, a shop or café bar for residents old and new.

LUSH, GREEN SPACE.

Inside, the residents’ garden will be a lush and calm space, with planting around the site to greatly improve the views of Ancoats Works from the main road and canal.

As part of this project, we plan to repair and restore the canalside, which is currently inaccessible.

LINKS ON
THE DOORSTEP.

Ancoats Works will be a well-connected community, with cycle and running routes down the canal, New Islington tram stop just a few steps away, and bus routes right on the doorstep.
